Pain-Less Injections

Jiyoung Jung, DDS, FAGD

best dentist in dallas award 2023

At Central Park Dental & Orthodontics, Dr. Jung has pioneered a groundbreaking approach to oral health and whole-body wellness through her innovative “Three Legs of the Healing Stool” philosophy. This comprehensive methodology recognizes that true healing requires addressing three interconnected pillars:

1. Structural Balance (Alignment) – Body alignment and oral structural alignment, including precise tooth positioning for optimal function

2. Chemical Balance in the Body – Addressing toxicity and optimizing your body’s internal chemical environment for healing

3. Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual Balance – Recognizing the profound connection between your mental state and physical health

Just as a three-legged stool requires all legs to remain stable, optimal health depends on balancing these three essential pillars. Dr. Jung’s approach goes beyond traditional dentistry to address root causes, not just symptoms, helping patients throughout Mansfield, Arlington, Burleson, and the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area achieve lasting wellness.

Dr. Jung was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in child psychology. After moving to the United States with her family, Dr. Jung received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in biology at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she graduated on the Dean’s Honor List. At Baylor College of Dentistry, now known as the Texas A&M College of Dentistry, she was a member of the Odontological Honor Society, the Dean’s Honor List, the Dental Scholars’ program, and a mentor for the Pre-Dental Enrichment Program. She also earned a certificate in education for healthcare professionals from the Texas A&M School of Graduate Studies. She graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and was recognized with the Merritt-Parks Award.

After receiving her degree, Dr. Jung continued her studies through the Advanced Education for General Dentistry (AEGD) Program. In the AEGD program, she gained experience in full-mouth rehabilitation, esthetic restoration, and implant surgery and restoration, as well as various periodontal surgeries and advanced root canal therapies like retreatment. Through the program, Dr. Jung provided dental services to medically compromised patients and special-needs patients. She has also taught third- and fourth-year clinical dental students as an adjunct assistant professor at the Texas A&M College of Dentistry.

Dr. Jung is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry, and The American Academy for Oral and Systemic Health. Dr. Jung has also been chosen to receive the Best Dentist in D Magazine for 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021!

Dr. Jung has earned her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), an honor achieved by only 6% of dentists nationwide. This prestigious designation is awarded to dentists who complete at least 500 hours of continuing education in dentistry and successfully pass a comprehensive examination covering multiple dental disciplines. She is very detail-oriented, and she dedicates time to improving her knowledge and skills to be the best dentist she can be. Her goal is to provide patient-centered, comprehensive care.

Dr. Jung’s commitment to whole-body wellness extends beyond traditional dental care. Her “Three Legs of the Healing Stool” philosophy guides every treatment decision, ensuring that:

  • Structural assessments consider not just tooth alignment but total body posture, jaw position, and airway function
  • Chemical balance evaluations address oral pH, bacterial balance, and systemic inflammatory factors
  • Emotional wellness support recognizes how stress, anxiety, and mental health impact oral health and healing

This comprehensive approach often involves collaboration with chiropractors, physical therapists, functional medicine practitioners, nutritionists, and other wellness professionals to ensure optimal outcomes for her patients.

Because of Dr. Jung’s commitment to Teeth and Whole Body Health, she spoke at the Empowering Women and Girls to Thrive Summit at the United Nations on July 31, 2024, and received The President’s Volunteer Service Award.
